Seeding Possibilities -

a retreat for youth workers

Join Rebellious Root for our third Seeding Possibilities, a 3-Day Youth Work Institute & Urban Retreat!

DATES COMING SOON

Brooklyn, NY

Rebellious Root is excited to present our third “Seeding Possibilities” in Brooklyn, NY. This will be our third retreat, and we are excited to welcome a new cohort of rebellious youth workers ready to go even deeper, move even braver, and envision even higher possibilities in this work.

Our young people deserve safe, healing and transformative spaces.  To fully realize this, these spaces need trained, effective, and sustainable adult accomplices guiding this work. Youth workers are the foundation of our organizations, communities and youth spaces - and deserve youth-work specific professional development alongside a dedicated community of peers.

Seeding Possibilities is for people who are holding space with, facilitating with and supporting young people. Some of the goals for this urban retreat are:

  • Sharing and experimenting with best practices and tools for engaging youth work

  • Creating space and opportunities for connection between NYC-based youth workers

  • Cultivating creativity to envision new and just spaces that center young people within our organizations

  • Bridging social change from theory to practice along the youth engagement spectrum

  • Celebrating the magic that youth workers create every day!

The fee for Seeding Possibilities is $450 per participant, with an Early Bird Special of $400 through April 17th. Included in this fee is:

     - A 3-day training (June 11-13) with 4 seasoned youth work trainers

     - A network of 25-30 youth workers for continued support and knowledge sharing

     - A toolkit of resources

     - Post retreat follow-up and check-in

I recently led a retreat and several workshops for my community and

I channeled all of the brilliance that I took away from Rebellious Root.

I could really feel the difference in how I was showing up.
